charming stay!

generous space warm swimming pool friendly staff
The lodge's location impressed me, very close to the river. the lodge itself had generous space and great equipment. It really let me have a comfortable week. the swimming pool had a lovely warm temperature, and the jacuzzi was also well maintained. the staff greeted me well and had valuable suggestions for exploring the area.
Upon arrival, i found a rubbish bag and dirty lining sitting outside my door. That was a bit off-putting. the heater operation seemed off, and the external door lock didn't engage fully from the outside. i also noticed the chalet was a bit outdated.
Location
9/10
The hotel boasts an amazing location near attractions. The views around include tall trees and the beauty of the cairngorm mountains. i could reach the town center in a short time, and enjoyed the quick access to local services, too.
Rooms
9/10
The chalet offered excellent comfort and equipment. I found elemis soap, shower gel, and shampoo in the bathroom. the kitchen also included cleaning sponges, washing-up liquid, and paper towels.
Dining
8/10
The speyside restaurant gave me a satisfying dining experience. The food was nicely prepared and flavorful. the barman provided very good service, answering my questions, and the drink selection was sufficient.
Service
9/10
the staff displayed caring and friendly behavior, helping me with public transport information and general details about cairngorms base camp. the receptionist checked me in with ease and gave a warm welcome, ensuring i felt comfortable immediately.

Upon arrival, i found the apartment to be rather disappointing. the furniture was worn and outdated. there was a distinct lack of attention to detail in cleanliness. the floors seemed not properly cleaned. Dust and debris were visible in corners. this situation detracted significantly from the overall experience i anticipated.
